Unity Standard Assets First Person Controller Camera Not Working Correctly

Hi there,

I am using the standard assets first person controller. In Unity 2017.4.22. My first person camera only shows a static image of the skybox, but when I add a render texture to the camera and make a UI image display it it displays the objects and the skybox correctly. Is there a way to fix it where I only need the camera without a UI image?
