Importing GIS data
Hi,
I need to import a bunch of georeferenced data to Unity from a GIS to use in conjunction with a location-based service, but I don't really know if this is possible to do with Unity in an "automatic way". Do you know any methods which would achieve this functionality?
Thanks in advance.
What kind of format would the data be in (i.e. file types)?
I'm thinking about a PostGIS DB and shapefiles. And then position FBX 3d models over that, possibly using metadata to store the info. But I'm still thinking about the product itself so I would like to know the best way to handle georeferenced data within Unity.
