GetComponent inexplicably breaking
My scripts have been working normally until I've begun working on animations.
It seems every time I change the atomic property of a state in an animation controller, several of my GetComponent lines begin returning null.
If I restart Unity without trying to fix anything, the project behaves normally again, that is until I change more animation settings.
If it's relevant, I've also recently imported the raw motion capture data asset from the asset store into my project.
I don't think there's enough information here for anyone to help you. Ask the person who made the "motion capture data asset" you are using.
