Load sound file from www and play it - license issues?
Do I need to pay a license for loading and playing a mp3 file from internet? I'm using www class.
Otherwise, how can I use .ogg file (or license free), still from internet location (no need to play as it is downloading, just need to be able to play it).
Regards.
It doesn't matter how you play it, you will need licenses for any copyrighted music.
I believe this is what they are concerned about (the licensing problems with the $$anonymous$$P3 format itself).
Yes, my concern is about the format itself. So pretty much I can use it in commercial application until income becomes greater than 100,000, which sounds ok.

Check the page you are getting it from. It should say somewhere if it is licensed. If it doesn't say anywhere, contact the original owner.
Try these sites for (mostly) license-free sound clips and music:
Just make sure to check for "Creative Commons 0" on the second site.
Thank you, sorry for not being more specific. I own the copyrights of the file, my concern was about the file format.
