Have root motion control the y axis on a character controller
I am controlling my character using a character controller but telling it to apply root motion for various things such as attacks and the like. I'm driving the animation through mecanim and using an isGrounded state for various things.
The issue is that when I jump, I want that to be using root motion. The root motion Vector3 is sucessfully driving the X and Z motion but I'm not getting any Y movement at all meaning the character controller is staying on the ground when I jump. If I set the animation to import and NOT bake the Y transform the character simply performs the animation but doesn't rise on the Y at all.
Any help is appreciated.
