Should altering the quality settings affect the file size?
When altering the quality settings in the project settings and exporting for android, the files are the same size. Is this correct? Or am I exporting them wrong?
Thanks

No, altering the quality settings won't affect the file size. The ability to change the quality settings at runtime means that even if by default you use 1/8 size textures, you still need to include the full-res ones for if the end user decides that they want them. You should just force all your textures to import smaller, in the import settings.
hi thankyou for that, the game is running really well when set to fantastic and I've set the aliasing to be x8 but the models are still not very smooth. what would you recommend to improve this? thank you
$$anonymous$$ake better models? I'm really not sure how you'd improve that...
