Finding the FBXImporter trying to follow book tutorial

I got this book called 'Unity 3 Game Development' by packt publishing. I am using unity 3.5 and I am guessing things have changed. I am in the first platformer tutorial and I got stuck on almost the first task of clicking on this plane object in the project view, and it brings up the inspector. Then it says goto the FBXImporter | Meshes and change the Scale Factor to 1. I do not see this anywhere, I followed the rest of the tutorial but its apparnet the scale factor had to be changed because its for the background and that plane is SO small without changing the scale factor. I just don't see this scale factor anywhere...any help where i might look for this?

Have you clicked on the object in your project view? The scale factor is one of the editable fields in the inspector for that object. I'm afraid I can't really explain it any better than that. Just look around some more- I'm sure you'll find other useful things as well.

Codejoy,

The FBXImporter is on the model when you in the project view. So find the model you are referring and select it in the project view as syclamoth suggests. Then scroll down the list of components until you find the one that say FBXImporter. The scale factor is most likely set to 0.01.

Hope that helps!
