Import FBXes in batch mode
We have more than 6000 FBX files to be imported in a unity project. Each fbx contains a clip of animation. We want to import them as humanoid animations of a pre-defined humanoid avatar and export each one of them as a assetbundle file. We have done the assetbundle part. But we are confused about how to create the ModelImporter object for the external FBX files through Unity Editor API, cuz we don't want to wait for hours importing the FBXes and then we have to reconfigure all of them and import em again. And a method that will work in the batch mode is of preference.

Hi, have you looked into Presets ? You should be able to define default values that applies to all ModelImporters ( or just a subset ) using a Preset. AssetPostprocessors could be another option to achieve this.
I just looked into the AssetPostProcessor as well. Presets seem to be good. I am looking into it. THAN$$anonymous$$ YOU.
