Too Many Editor Logs Where Can I Get Output?
I have the following situation:
I'm trying to uncover which file is causing a unity crash. For this, I have one editor open running tests on each asset in our (large) game. Eventually, one of them will crash the editor. I have been watching the Editor.log to see which asset.
In order to get work done while this runs for hours, I've opened a second instance of unity. This changed the contents of Editor.log to the output of the second instance. No problem so far, because the information I need is still in Editor-prev.log
I then closed and reopened the second instance of Unity. Now it takes up both Editor.log and Editor-prev.log.
The thing is, the first instance of Unity is still chugging along, but the logs do not seem to be outputting anywhere?
Is there actually no output for these logs, or is it just hiding somewhere more secret than that usual Logs folder?
