How to change texture type using script .?
I m trying to download an image from url (using www) and saving it in resource folder which is successful. than i m trying to change the texture type of the downloaded image. i have read in many forums to change the texture type using TextureImporter but its not working.
If anyone knows have faced same problem and solved please do reply. Thank You :)
To what do you want to change the texture type? $$anonymous$$aybe you are using a file format that unity doesn't support? Have you looked at the tutorial and documentation about textures? http://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials/modules/beginner/graphics/textures
i am trying to make 360 panorama using skybox, and there i m trying to change my texture type from 'Texture' to 'Advanced'. the image is been downloaded from specific url.
Why though? 'Advanced' and 'Texture' are both the same type; Texture2D. The only difference is what options are made available via the inspector, but in code, all of those options are already available.
