Best way to control a Cube Like Character

I am making a 3d runner like game, kind of like cube runner, but the only thing I am trying out is how to control the movement of the cube. Should I use a character controller or a rigidbody that is kinematic, and move it using its transform or rigidbody.moveposition. Some people say that the character controller might miss collisions, and collisions are very important in this game, so I am not to sure about that. Also the character controller has a capsule collider instead of a box collider, but thats not a very big deal because only the corners will not have any colliders on them. So, I am just wondering what you think is the best way to control a cube. Oh by the way the cube will only be able to move left and right and jump.

Thanks.

At this point in the proceedings you really, REALLY just need to give it a go.
