.max and .3ds files crashes unity on mac
Hello, I and a friend are making a game He has windows and I have mac. He donwloaded .3ds and .max files and imported them. Now if I open a scene where a .3ds or a .max file is located my unity crashes. Can someone help me?

Hello everyone, I have found a solution. In place of 3dsmax you can install autodesk maya. It works for me Gr. Cemre

In order to convert .max or .3ds to .fbx Unity needs to have access to a installed version of 3ds Max, but Max does not run on Mac. So that might be the problem. Try installing 3ds Max on a Windows PC and export your models as .fbx manually.
