GUI Text and 3D Text Editing

According to Reference help manual, the following Hint is written: "When entering text into the Text property, you can create a line break by holding Alt and pressing Return."

When I follow the instructions, in the Inspector pane, nothing happens. There is no line break. Is that a bug in software?

That will just cause the actual characters "\n" to appear in your string. This is about entering text in the inspector; alt-return works fine here.

on c# the "\n" works, on js i dont know if the line break works with that, also the "\r\n" could do the work.

Found the solution in the forums: http://forum.unity3d.com/threads/30381-Line-break?p=198023#post198023

"If you mean entering text into Unity's text field, the 'alt-return' shortcut seems to be broken on windows. You can get around this by copying and pasting a return character from some other text program such as notepad."
