Gagauzia, Ingrian Finns, Mari El, Subcarpathian Rusyns,
Taiwan, Tatarstan, Tibet, Tuva, Udmurt, as well as several MP's
from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and other experts and honorable guests
took part in the events.
16-17 April 1999, Tartu
UNPO regional meeting and the third round-table conference on the
discussion of the draft of the Universal Declaration of the Rights of
Peoples. The delegations of Chuvashia, Ingrian Finns, Mari and
Tatarstan as well as politicians and experts from Estonia took part in the
event. The final redaction of the Draft was agreed.

UNPO regional meeting, international conference Regional
Politics in Different Countries, and the second round-table
conference on the discussion of the draft of the Universal
Declaration of the Rights
of Peoples. The delegations of UNPO members - Buryatia, Chechenia,
Circassians, Ingrian Finns, Subcarpathian Russins, Tatarstan and Udmurtia,
and other countries – Austria, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania took part in
the events.

UNPO regional meeting and the first round-table

Chuvashia, Circassians, Ingrian Finns and Subcarpathian Russins as well
as the UNPO General Secretary Ms Helen Corbett and a number of politicians
and experts from Estonia and Lithuania took part in the event.

Conditions for Effective Peaceful Change in Tallinn with 130 participants
representing 54 nations and peoples both UNPO members and applicants as
well as states, the members of the UN.

Assembly, 41 members of 50 took
part in the event, among them 15 of 17 CIS members.
25-30 January 1997
UNPO observers mission to the Chechen Republic Ichkeria
to monitor the Presidential and Parliamentary elections. Mission was lead
by Dr Linnart Mäll, other members were Mr Erkin Alptekin, Mr Menelaos
Tzelios, Mr Karl von Habsburg, Ms Frédérique-Jeanne Besson,
Mr Atner Khuzangai, Mr Aleksey Leontyev, Mr Gennadiy Verblyudov, Prince
Peeter Volkonski, Mr Toomas Kümmel, Mr Artur Talvik.

Small Nations of East Europa in the End of Second Millenium -
Possibilities of Real Democracy in that Region and UNPO Regional
Meeting. 15 delegations - UNPO members Abkhazia, Buryatia,
Bashkortostan, Chechenia, Chuvashia, Circassia, Ingrian Finns, Komi,
Uighurs, 2 delegations of the appliants - Kumyks and Subcarpathian
Russins, and also delegations of Estonia, Germany, Hungaria and Seto took
part in the conference.

International Conference The Possible Ways of Development of the
Small Nations of Eastern Europa and Regional Meeting of UNPO. 24 delegations
included UNPO members and applicants of the Russia and CIS region - Abkhazia,
Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Erzia, Ingrian Finns, Ingushetia, Komi, Crimean
Tatars, Mari, Uighurs, Subcarpathian Russins, Sakha (Yakutia), Tatarstan,
Cirkassia, Chechenia, Chuvashia, as well as the members of Parliament of
Estonia and Lithuania, representatives of Paneuropean Movements of Austria,
Estonia, Germany and Sweden took part in the Conferernce. Conference was
co-organized by the Estonian Paneuropean Union and co-financed by the European
Commission's Phare Democracy Program.
28-29 April 1995
Two-days' seminar co-organised with Estonian Paneuropean Union on the
problems of war in Chechenia, in which participated the members of Chechen
Supporting Groups of the Parliaments of Estonia, Lithuania, and Ukraine
as well as the representatives of Chechenia and Ingrian Finns.
January-February 1995
Campaigne against the Russian aggression in Chechenia, over 3 thousands
of people signed the demand addressed to the Estonian Parliament and Government
to recognize Republic of Chechenia as an independent state.

International Conference The Republics and Nations of the former Soviet
Union - Democratisation and Transition to the Market Economy and Regional
Meeting of UNPO. Participants of the conference included delegations of
9 the republics and nations of the former Soviet Union: representatives
of Abkhazia, Buryat, the Chechen Republic, Chuvashia, Udmurtia, the Erzians,
Ingrian Finns, Crimean Tatars and Subcarpathian Russins; representatives
of the Parliaments of Estonia, Lithuania and the Georgian Parliament in
Exile as well as a representative of the Latvian Citizens' Congress, experts
from Germany and Estonia and journalists, over 40 people all in all. Conference
was co-financed by Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
