Sprite character script?

Hello,

I m trying to us a 2d character sprite in a 3d environment but i have been having the following issues:

1. no shadow is cast by the light i m using.

2. sprite animation in the animator don t aren t showing at all.

For the second one... i think if all due to the script, but i don t have any idea which script to use for a sprite character.
