How to make clear terrain texture at camera and not tiled in the distance?
Seems simple. I'm making a FPS and I need the ground to not look pixelated. Using a good texture scaled appropriately looks great, but then the hills and mountains in the distance look tiled. If I scale the images so that they look good in the distance, then the ground at camera is pixelated.
Just looking for realism both here and to the horizon.
P.S. I bought WorldComposer and TerrainComposer. WorldComposer made some great looking terrains if I were flying over them, but at ground level they're pixelated. Just letting you know that you can refer to those products in the answer.
