"Run in Background" has no effect?
I'm wondering about more details about how the "Run in Background" toggle works when building a web player build? It does not seem to have any affect for me.
I am using a non-standard holding .html, but it's not working with the out-of-the-box one either. I have disabled the right click menu however. Could this be something to do with it?
On a mac, running chrome (haven't checked on others) I can hear the music running when I tab away to another tab, or to other apps. I can hear that gameplay continues to run, also (so it's not just music).
[Edit] Okay, after further prodding, it seems that I have been able to make the game stop when switching away from chrome altogether. However, it's no stopping when moving to another tab in chrome. It's not even receiving "OnApplicationFocus" call (which I've used to pause gameplay and temporarily mute sound).
Any ideas, or is this just an unsupported concept at this point?
I know that issue as well. As long as the application (the webbrowser) is active, it won't receive an OnApplicationFocus message. I've seen even more strange things, so that on mouse over events are fired even when the game is in another tab and not visible. This is not a nice behaviour and i don't know a solution or workaround (yet).
Personally i would classify this as a bug.
