Unity 5 system requirements

I have to buy a new PC and I'd like to use Unity 5. What are the suggested Unity 5 system requirements for game development? (I know that games system requirements can change)

Here are the minimum requirement provided by Unity : System Requirements

But you also need to focus your mind on your target platform (iOS, Android, Xbox One, PC, etc...).

If you buy a very powerful machine, don't forget that most gamers don't have super powerful computer or devices, so take care of your development and optimisation. This doesn't mean that you need to buy a very low budget machine because it will increase your development time.

A gaming machine could be good for game development but you also need to know if you want to use 3D/2D programs.

I don't know if those requirement are valid for Unity 5, I suggest you to write to Unity directly if you want to be sure. But if you buy a standard ga$$anonymous$$g computer, you are not taking any risk. In my opinion, the only thing that can change is the supported OS. It could be possible that Windows XP won't be supported any more, but concerning hardware, as actual components are far above the $$anonymous$$imum requirement, you can't take much risks. I hop it helped.

If you buy a Ga$$anonymous$$g PC to run Unity you must take something very important in to account. On Top end graphics cards designed for ga$$anonymous$$g you will find they have Reduced Floating Point Accuracy, which is not good for development.

BUT it will still work just fine and much better so than the crap I posted below.

THIS is LITERALLY the $$anonymous$$imum requirement for Unity 5.

It will take 20 $$anonymous$$utes to Build a small project so dont get your hopes up.

The graphics chip listed on this netbook became the lowest supported device after the last overhaul/support-drop.
