Question by vishu kumar · Apr 15, 2015 at 10:01 AM · character-animation

How to make a running Animation in Run game.

Hi, I am a new user in Gaming. So i have a silly doubt in my mind. I created Character animation in Maya, exported into unity. I did my background is still, character should go forward. So here my doubt is, 1)How to give continuity animation? 2)Either i have to create stationary walk cycle or progressive walk cycle? 3)If i create both type of animation, how many frames i have to do post infinity? 4)Is any other method is available for running animation?

I am looking answer for these questions. If you know any answer, really help full for me. Tutorial&Video tutorial, is best.

Advance thanks.

1) Hmm... I can't say I know exactly what you're referring to with this one.

2) You'd likely be looking for Stationary walk cycle. You'd make it so the character's animation is done in place, then move the character in Unity to match. There can be exceptions to this, however, but I'm afraid I can't offer insight on that one.

3) Post-Infinity frames in animations only apply in $$anonymous$$aya. In Unity, when the animation runs its course, you can simply restart the animation ins$$anonymous$$d to resume.
