Will quadrupeds ever be fully supported in Unity with IK as humanoids are?
We are currently developing several educational titles involving many 4-legged animals. Up to this point, we have set up IK with the characters imported under the Legacy animation system. It works, just not well. I'm curious if this is something that is in the works... supporting quadrupeds on import just as you can with Humoniods rather than using the Legacy system?

Skeletal non-humanoid animations should be imported as "Generic'
By definition Unity can't do any more then that because there is no standard bone mapping. You will have to create and use your own standard across all your models if you want to share animations.
