Can multiple characters share blendshape animations in Unity?
Hello!
I'm working on a set of avatars from mixamo that all share the same skeleton and therefore the same animations in Unity. However they all have blendshapes as well, so I was curious if it was possible, say, if I animated a blinking animation for one character, could the other characters use and play it so long as they have the same blendshapes?

Okay, so that might explain why I was able to bring in a number of characters from makehuman who shared the same blendshapes and armatures into Unreal, and their blendshapes would all play marvelously. With Mixamo it might be different since some of the characters have different base meshes. Makehuman characters, so long as they have the same topology settings, would all share the same base mesh.

No. Blendshapes are based on vertex count and order. The only way two characters could use the same blendshapes is if they shared the same mesh, i.e. they had the same head mesh with all vertex and vertex order the same, but maybe had different texture so they looked different.
