Problem with unity and blender

Ok so here's my situation, i downloaded a humanoid figure made in blender to use in a rpg tutorial i'm following, the figure looks amazing but it has a problem, when it is imported looks great, like this http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/8/humanoid1.jpg/ but when i hit play it changes to a starting position and the shield and the axe keeps floating around instead of keeping their position on the hands of the figure, just like this http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/600/humanoid2.jpg/

Any help to make it work properly?

This technically has nothing to do with Blender. Anyway, is the axe a separate object than the character. If it is, parent it to the character.

The axe comes with the humanoid, it is a child of the humanoid as the shield and animations of it, if someone wants to check it out here it is: http://www.burgzergarcade.com/product/educational-use/3d-models/249humananimated
