Black Screen after splash screen (android)

Hello Guys

I am working on a game which is nearly complete.I am facing a problem on android devices though. when I start the app the splash screen appears for 3 sec i think , after that instead of displaying the main menu of the game the screens goes black for about 3-4 sec and then the menu appears.

Although This Question was asked once before too ,but there was no accepted answer of that question.

Please Help.

Could be your scene loading other things before the menu? is the application big? Check the script execution order.

  1. Edit

  2. Project Settings

  3. Script Execution Order

Hi Ben,

Yes I would say app is big. I checked the script execution order, it has been set to default. Should I set them in a particular order ?

Well the issue is most likely cause by assets/scripts being loaded before the menu scene causing this small delay on start.

If you have a pro licence you will be able to use the profiler to see exactly what the problem is.

If you instantiate a lot of object or things during the Awake/Start function so it's normal.

To avoid this and if you have pro licence you can use a tiny scene at the beginning to display an image (for example) then load your menu behind with "Application.LoadLevelAdditiveAsync".

The Splashscreen is here to do this (hide the first loading scene). But if you instantiate the object the splashscreen won't work cause the splashscreen stay only during scene instantiation without considered all the object instantiated by script.

Hope this help.

I have the same issue, after the splashscreen it turns black for about 4 seconds (even though my audio has already started playing, so scene must be already loaded), yet we can't see the scene until it fades in from black.

This is exactly the same with a "New Project" so it's kind of weird that the delay would be that long for a fresh project.
