Animate a 3D model on Unity or on Blender?
Hey guys, i'm a newbie on 3D models and animation.
I've heard that Unity 5 has new animation features, and i want to know if now it's better to import just the model from Blender and animate it on Unity or do everything on Blender.
Thanks.
Depends on your specific needs. Simple motions like a door opening can be done easily inside Unity, while a walking animation is probably better suited to be made in a 3D modelling application. Then there's the problem of Unity not saving animation events for read-only (imported) animation clips.
Sorry, i'm not understood this: "Then there's the problem of Unity not saving animation events for read-only (imported) animation clips.", can you explain the problem?
Also, thanks for the reply
