Creating a World?

How can I create a whole world that you could explore? I know how to creat terrain, but what about this? Can you do this in Unity? Something like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UU3_xSgV1P4 Sorry, I'm a noob.

these are simply spheres with textures

That seems like something every rudimentary 3D engine could be able to handle. It is just two spheres with two textures a moveable camera and a lens flare. Unity will not even break a sweat.

So you can enter and explore still, right? Sorry again, you're lookin' at a noob.

Umm, sure, why not ;) In the example you've posted he just had 2 spheres in his scene / game. He used the ogre engine, but it can be done in any 3D engine.

Have you heared of "battlestar galactica online"? It uses a space setting (with planets and spaceships) and is made in Unity ;)

If you have more questions, ask specific and detailed questions.
