error CS0246 Problems finding UnityEngine
Hello,
I recently updated to Unity 4.3 and have been having issues compiling code in MonoDevelop since the update. I keep getting the same error (Error CS0246: The type or namespace name `UnityEngine' could not be found. Are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference? (CS0246)). The problem never came up before the update, and I haven't changed anything about the code since. Any ideas?
Here is my current header:
using UnityEngine;
using System.Collections;
using System.Collections.Generic;
You said you are compiling code in $$anonymous$$onoDevelop
Are you seeing that error in console window, hitting play from editor? What happens if you build from unity?
There are other errors in the console window when I attempt to hit play. Before that, there was a problem where it would run an older version of the code. Again, did not have this problem before the update and I have the same problem when I create a new script as well.
Getting the same here. Building/rebuilding in $$anonymous$$onoDevelop because Unity's spitting a Internal compiler error with a non-helpful unsymbolicated stacktrace.
Was this issue resolved? If so, please tell me because I am having the same problem.
