Color part of an obj in Maya
Okay now, I should've posted this in Maya's community, but, I thought you guys could help.
Now I have a sword .obj, and I want to make the ONLY blade silver/gray... not the handle. When I try to "Add materials" and all that, it edits the whole sword, as a solid color. How to select only a certain part of the sword? Any guidance /suggestions are appreciated, Thanks.

Poked around on YouTube, and this seems to be a good video for you:

For future reference, what you're looking for is having multiple UV maps on an object. In 3DS Max this is referred to as a multi-sub object, but in Maya apparently they call it texture layering.
