Creating characters for Unity
Hello! I would like help learning how to design my own characters.
Can anyone direct me to where I can learn how to model, rig, and animate a character to use it Unity? I would really appreciate it!
Start by learning 3d modeling then progress into texturing and 3d animation http://www.blender.org/ can get you started and it's free, and there are tons of free videos on youtube for learning all of the above
There are several website that introduce you to 3D modeling. A great open source tool to use as Pyro stated is Blender. You can also purchase books that can assist you in creating your first 3D character and teaches you the basis of designing your own.
