I'm stuck on creating a laser with particle system
Hey guys!
I'm hoping someone can help me. I've been stuck on this for about a week and I can't seem to figure it out. I would like to replicate a rail from Quake 2. I have setup a raycast system but I cannot get a particle / trail system to work. Could someone walk me through it or link a tutorial? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you.

Good day.
(I dont remeber how is laser in Quake)
I never did a laser, but I i supose the best way is to use simple sphere GameObject (with nice glowing material) and a TrailRenderer component on it. And move the sphere at high speed in a straight line to the target.
Or you can make a rectangle to travel very fast, and it will be like a laser
PD: I mean, PArticle system is not for this things, is more to have multiple aprticles or elements spawning/despawining or moving in a loop or things like this.--
Bye!

Depends of the kind of laser you need, create a particle system and disable the shape property, there are a lot of cool tutorials for creating laser effects but i would suggest try to create your own first for understanding how the different properties work, if not you wont be able to even modify others creation properly.
