Scene File - Missing!
Hello,
I was working on my main scene and Unity froze. This is a fairly common issue, not a problem. I force quit Unity and opened it back up. I noticed that Unity opened up an empty scene, and not my main scene I was working on.
So I went to search for it within the assets folder, and it cannot be found! Unity has somehow deleted my main scene project when I force shut it down.
Has this happened to anyone else? How do I recover it? I've spent ages on this scene, and my backup is pretty old. How can unity do something like this!?
Thanks.
If you search around, you'll see that this seems to happen to a lot of people and the usuall answer is - regular backUps.. I usually do $$anonymous$$e after a day of work or after every important change.
Perhaps your PC has some temporary copy of the file somewhere. also, if you're on Windows, try checking if your PC is set to do use restore points. Usually you don't have to restoer back to an date and can just check all the files that have been changed , but I'm not sure if this is turned on by default.
