Unity .net4 stability issue on Mac editor

Hello everyone, we recently tried to upgrade our project from .net3.5 to .net4 on unity 2018.3.27. With the update, we have been experiencing stability issue with the editor. The editor seems to be crashing a lot on asset imports and we are unable to connect to our backend services. After the initial failure, we decided to try and update to unity 2020.3.12 but is facing the same stability issue. The editor crashes any time we press the play button. Unity bug reporter seems to only return general error code This only happens on the Mac editor and doesn’t seem to affect the windows editor. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
