Scriptable Object is getting set to null

Just as the titles says,

I have a scriptable object nulling on me when i have made a build. Nowhere in my code do I ever tell it to null. I also spent the majority of today ensuring I am not changing any values within the object, I have seen a lot of talk saying that will essentially cause the object to destroy itself and then get re-created without fixing any references to it (also stuff about how that was fixed, but whatever).

Where should I start looking for the probem?
