my scene got cleared

so earlier today i wanted to import a custom package which i have done multiple times and when i did a message popped up saying something along the lines of "importing this package will require you to reload your scene" thinking this was normal i pressed 'reload' after that my entire scene was cleared and all my hard work was gone, i still have the assets but they are no longer in the scene and the scene seemed to be set back to if you had just started. I have worked very hard for about 4 months on this project, if there is anything i can do please let me know, i dont want to lose all my hard work.
