Having trouble with model textures.
So recently I've been trying to make a Sonic the hedgehog thingy so I went on models resource and downloaded the .dae file for classic Sonic in Sonic generations. I imported the textures into unity, then I put in the model. The materials had the textures and materials were correctly allocated to parts of the model but the whole thing was pitch black! I tried playing with the ambient colour a bit and making it white helped a tiny bit but it still looks dark and messed up. Any tips or help? Has anybody else run into this issue?

Do you have light source in scene?
Try to open lighting settings Window->Lighting
and select there Scene->AmbientSource
to Color, Scene->AmbientColor
to white.
