IoT connection library
Hi everyone,
I've been searching the web for some time now, to find a library that allows people to connect their phones to other nearby phones (via bluetooth (beacons), wifi (direct), etc.). It should be compatible with iOS and Android.
I've already found;
Google Nearby, which is everything I need, but the Unity plugin does not work (for which google admitted there was an issue that would be fixed in the future), Nearby Connections wasn't very stable (from my small tests with Android Studio) and it requires some google API key (which I don't really like).
Alljoyn, which is great. Works really fast. Though there is no longer a supported Unity plugin (there was never support for iOS), nor is there any active development. https://github.com/dotMorten/AllJoynDotNet
IoTivity, which would be the spiritual successor to Alljoyn. Looks really good. I haven't tested it much. Though again, there is no C# combined iOS/Android wrapper. I found some implementation, however it isn't finished https://github.com/dotMorten/IoTivityDotNet
Is there anything out there, which I could better use?
Kind regards, Coen
