Rain{indie} and Mecanim... is there a way?
I've been knocking my head around for a while and feel as though I'm the only person attempting to get these two systems to talk to each other. I'm sure it's an easy fix and all I need to do is send a message between the controllers or something silly like that, but it's driving me bonkers!
Really all I want to do is have my NPCs and Enemies run through the Mind system of Rain{indie} and have it call the animations, but I'm pretty much at a loss. Does anyone have any experience with these two neat-o technologies?
i'm also seeking answer for this same question. i tried using a separate controller for the animations but it wasn't quite good.

UPDATE: The new version of RAIN, schedule for release this October, has great built-in support for Mecanim. This includes a new MecanimMotor class, a new MecanimAnimator class, support for root motion, and seamless support for Mecanim within your Behavior Trees. RAIN can easily drive locomotion, state machine transitions and animations, and Avatar IK.
Answer: Yes. We just distributed a Beta release of the RAIN{indie} 1.3.4 with support for Mecanim. If you don't have access to the Beta you can sign up for access and to receive news updates here:

The full release should be available within a week or two from the Rival Theory website, and shortly after that from the Unity Asset Store.
