does unity run in the back ground?
ok so I downloaded unity but now overwatch runs at 9-18 fps it ran at a solid 40 before I got unity. I just want to know if unity is causing problems for other applications or if this has something to do with overwatch it's self. I haven't changed any settings in overwatch and haven't downloaded anything between then and now.
No. Unity doesn't have any background functionality as far as I have ever known. Sounds like you might have aquired spyware/virus/malware of some kind, and should be looking into antivirus and anti-malware software.
Assuming your on windows, maybe try hitting CTRL + ALT + DELETE keys (or CTRL + SHIFT + ESCAPE) to open the windows task manager and view what is using up your CPU usage the most...
