How to handle huge images in unity?
I have a 2d sidescrolling app planned, where the background would be composed of huge photos. The source photos that I have, are 12000x1024 sized. Or bigger. The images would be downloaded from the net, during the game.
Any best practices about how huge images should be handled in unity?
Is it possible, to just load the part of the texture that should be visible? If not, will I have to pre-slice my images?
