Options of projectors
Hello, i want to ask if is there some way to make my own projector or maybe is already on unity some projector which can on scale 3 for example make me nice circle. Because projector on terrain when i give size 3 it look like this
Is there some options ?
not sure that you mean, do you want the brush in the terrain tool be a circle? The terrain is a mesh so you will always be raising/lowering the vertices.
But if you bump up the resolution of the terrain you get more vertices to work with.
Sorry if I completely misunderstood you question and if so try and explain to me again!
So the reason why this is not circle is that from 3 pixels i cant make circle ? is this mistake on brush or on projector?
No this for a projector isn't it. I only use them for projecting caustic light effect for under water light ripples. And that's what you need to do project an image of a circle rather than limit the projector properties.
Only got intermittent web access at the moment but I know from past testing searching for unity project water caustic will show you how to project images.
Thank you, maybe somebody have idea for my problem, i modificating terrain and need to show how surface is editing. Like on terrain in unity.. but when you want to edit small surface you set brush on 2 or 3 and then isnt circle but this on picture. $$anonymous$$aybe is some other solution, i try spawn ring on my mouse position and scale with number of brush height but its not so pretty like projector
O$$anonymous$$, so you're not using projectors. I'm sorry but the terrain brushes are limited to this shape. Further individual textures will blend together so even if you did draw a big circle the edges would be blurred.
I'm not sure exactly what you're after, if you want to place a textured circle then the best way is to put a circular plane just above the terrain and drag a texture onto it.

Then the answer is the textures blend on terrains so you don't get hard edges that screen shot demonstrates that even though the brush appears circular it's really soft edge bunch of squares.
That image is fine but you might want to show the blend by applying a different texture.

Good solution can be to project something like this red circle on terrain on mouse pos .. without projecting textures which show this bad pixels
