How can I make a GameObject move from one side to the other

How can I make a GameObject move from one side to the other (via script) and when you press "space" where the GameObject stop this. and when you press "space" again throw the GameObject.

physical forces(Physics) and directional vectors(remember highshool math studies?) are your friend. I'm assu$$anonymous$$g you want the player to be able to influenced the balls position as it reaches the pins? e.g spin bowls? or do you want it to just travel to a point. your detail is quite vague
