What exactly is the bounding box?
I've encountered an issue where NPCs with a skinned mesh renderer will disappear from view of the camera when they're close to the edge of the screen, or other areas of the screen. I did some reading around and discovered that checking "Update When Off Screen" fixes this problem (NPCs will not disappear). But apparently this would be performance intensive for a bunch of NPCs.
So then I see some things about adjusting the bounding box of the skinned mesh renderer, which appears to be some white box surrounding the character. So, how do I adjust this? And what do I adjust it to to fix the character from disappearing from the camera?
$$anonymous$$essed around some more and it seems as if Unity assigned the wrong root bone for the skinned mesh renderer. When I changed it to what it should be, the NPCs no longer disappear. I'm not sure whether to put that as the answer because I'm not sure if that was what the problem was. Anyone have any thing to share?
