How can I unfocus and fade my background in a 2D game?
Hello!
I'm currently working on a 2D game with hand-drawn assets, and my background if made of trees, bushes and far away mountains. When it comes to the mountains, I'd like to make that the details and color gets more and more fade out like the way it's done in Alto's Adventure where it seems like there is a fog that thickens as the object gets further away from the camera. However, even when I try to add fog in my shaders or any other way, nothing looks close to the reference I'm using!
Does anyone have any ideas/techniques on making backgrounds in 2D looking more... Well, like a background?
Thanks for the help!
