Creating a house
I have just started using Unity and the level design is great for terrain, but how can I make like a house? It's far different from how I used to make maps in hammer (the level designer for source games)
I'm working on a tile-based building generator, but it's not really finished yet. The functionality isn't built in, but it's possible to write it.

I believe you have to use a 3rd party program to create the model, like Blender, and then export it into Unity3d

Pick up blender and learn how to use it, or download a trial of 3ds max and you can try the plugin ghost town. I recommend learning how to use blender its a great free and open source tool. Then export it as a .obj or .fbx and right into unity! There is your house...
Or if you want a basic house you could make it out of unity cubes.. but I mean I do not think that would look so good.
If you go to gameobject at the top and create a box or cube I am not sure which it is.
