Why does Collaborate seem to be checking for changes on a folder it's supposed to be ignoring?
Hi,
I have a folder named data in my project with about 17000 files, and 2600 subfolders. Total size is about 500 MB.
data is in my .collabignore file
The rest of my project is just a couple scripts.
Whenever I restart Unity, when it first opens it takes a really long time to "check for change" on only a couple scripts.
Why does Collaborate seem to be checking for changes on a folder it's supposed to be ignoring?
I'm using Unity 2017.1.0f3.

I find the same problem with unity 2018.4.4 and unity 2019.3.7. I have not found a solution yet. I keep unity on my SSD drive to reduce the CHECKING time.
$$anonymous$$y solution was to stop using Collaborate and use git ins$$anonymous$$d.
