Shared editing/ version control for Unity
I'm working on a Unity project in a group, with everyone editing in parallel on their own computers. We've tried putting the project in a DropBox folder, but got some weird collisions that broke the game when multiple people tried to edit it. Does anyone know of a better way to do collaborative editing on a Unity project, preferably with good version control as well?

Take a look at the reference (incl. svn example): Using External Version Control Systems with Unity
(Unity Pro only)
Unfortunately I do not have Unity Pro; I'm working with the free version. (This is a project for a college course, and I don't think any of us can afford to shell out for the upgrade.)
