How to mask meshes on a per-pixel basis
Hey guys, let's say I have a bunch of objects that are overlapping and I want to use a grayscale mask to determine their combined visibility, how would I do that? I have a polygonal landscape (opaque shader) with leaves growing on top (alpha testing shader). So for a stylized texturing, I'd like to use the shape of grass and landscape as a mask to show other textured objects. In Photoshop, the setup might look like this:
Any ideas how to accomplish this? Your help is very much appreciated!
Thanks a lot, Felix
