Is it possible to light interactive cloth with spotlight?
I recently got into working with interactive cloth, and I really love how it works- I was disappointed though when I found out that it only responds to directional lights- Which is rather useless since my game is a "flashlight-kind-of-game". Basically when I point my flashlight towards it, it's just extremely dark (ambient light is dark).
I've been google'ing around, but haven't found anything useful on the matter, except other people with the same problem and also that point lights have the same issue.
I've tried with various shaders, but no changes. I even tested on "normal" objects to make sure it wasn't shader related. If I use unlit or self-illum shaders, it lights up alright, but that is definitely not a good solution :P
I found some random comments about that it will only work with deferred lighting- But there's a few month until I go pro, so I have no chance of testing- Besides, there wasn't really much consensus on the matter.
Anyone know anything about this, and even better have a possible solution or workaround?
Thanks in advance!
I'm also experiencing this issue. I would hope non-directional cloth lighting would be available in Unity Free, as choosing to strategically keep such a basic and imperative game feature from those who can't pay $1500 would be rather disgraceful.
