How to fade terrain with distance?
I have a large terrain (actually a 3x3 grid of terrains. Certain of the cameras in the scene have a far limit which goes beyond the edge of the terrain. How can I achieve a natual looking 'fade into the diatance' type effect, so that the sharp edge is not evident.
The terrain itself has some variations in height, but is fairly flat on the whole.

You should play on Fog effects in the render settings of your project, manipulate the different parameters to get the effect you find good.
What is there is a skybox? The fog effect can't fade mountainous terrain into the , for example, mountainous skybox. All it does is fade it into a colour of your choosing. If the fog colour and skybox don't match, the far clip plane is seen clipping stuff.
