Creating a game for steam
Hello, I am wondering how do I go about creating a game that will include achievements for steam? I am thinking about creating a platform game for windows and possibly mac and would like to distribute it using steam. Does anyone know how to do this?
Many thanks in advance!
You would need to run your game through the Greenlight process before you would ever get it on S$$anonymous$$m. Until then, achievements should be one of the last things you need to worry about for your game design.
Ok its just that I always was taught that you must in advance define what you want. You must plan ahead before you start a project. Thought s$$anonymous$$m achievements were like a plugin you could add to the game.

That would be something you'd talk about with steam. They have something called Greenlight, you post your game there and if enough people like it, your game will go on Steam. It does require a $100 to put a game on, but if you want to post another game on it, you don't have to pay a thing, it is a 1 pay thing.
Thank you :) Imm hoping for a greenlight :) Im VERY hope full because I hit 62,000 downloads on Android ;) so I shall mention that in my application lol ;)AFter my complete Revamp using Unity 5 :) ,Did I mention I LOVE UNITY :) changed my life and a LOT of Very Helpfull people on here too :)
Are those 62000 paid downloads? Valve wants to make money on your game, after all.
