Running apps on an Android virtual device
When I install a unity android app onto a virtual device, I get the following message when I try and run it: "Failure to initialize! Your hardware does not support this application, sorry!". This happens even with an empty project of just an empty scene with a camera, and still happens if I try different hardware settings for the virtual device. Are applications built in unity not supported by the emulator, or am I going wrong somewhere?

Try to change the Device filter to emulator in the Player settings->Configuration (Android)
I went to that menu you mentioned.(Player settings -> Config...) but the only option for choosing as device filter is: "AR$$anonymous$$v7 only" There is no such option(i.e. emulator) in the combo box! :( What should I do? I am using Unity 4.0.0f5
